Your first day: a setup checklist
From an empty workspace to a classified register and your first document. The whole checklist takes most teams under an hour, and the first three steps take about fifteen minutes.

The checklist
- 1Create your workspace
Sign up and you land in a 14-day trial of the Business plan, no card required. The workspace is your company. You will invite the rest of your team later.
- 2Set your organisation profile
Your legal name, sector, team size, and the EU countries you operate in. Veillo uses these to scope which obligations apply and to fill in the documents it generates, so it is worth getting right once.

Pick them from our library, or type in anything that is not listed. Say what you use each one for, because the use is what decides the tier. Full walkthrough: add the AI systems you use.
- 4Confirm any high-risk classifications
High-risk and prohibited results wait for a person to sign off. Open the Risk register, read the reasoning on each flagged system, and confirm or reclassify it. See confirm or reclassify a high-risk system.
- 5Generate your first document
The AI Literacy Policy applies to every organisation and is the natural first one. Veillo fills in your company details; you review and export. See generate your first document.
- 6Invite your team
Add the people who will help maintain this, each with a role that fits. See roles and inviting your team.
After the first day
Once your register is classified and your first documents exist, the work shifts to keeping it current. Your Compliance Roadmap shows the duties still open, and a quarterly review keeps the register honest as your tools change.
How to build your risk register with the add-systems wizard: pick tools from the library or add your own, then say what you use each one for.
Generate a compliance document from your register: pick a template, choose the system if needed, then edit, export to PDF or DOCX, and keep versions.
