Generate your first document

Veillo generates the policies and procedures the Act asks for, filled in from your company and system details. The AI Literacy Policy is the natural first one, since it applies to everyone.

Generating a document

  1. 1
    Open Documents

Go to Documents in the sidebar. The templates you can generate are listed as cards, each marked organisation-wide or per system.

  2. 2
    Pick a template

Organisation-wide documents generate straight away. Per-system documents need you to choose which high-risk system they cover first.

Two templates. The AI Literacy Policy is org-wide; the Human Oversight Protocol is generated per high-risk system.
  3. 3
    Generate

Click Generate. Veillo pulls in your legal name, the relevant system, and the date, and opens the result in the editor.

Templates are pending counsel review
The document text is a lawyer-authored input, and entries are marked as placeholders until counsel signs them off. Treat a generated document as a strong starting point to review with your own lawyer, not as final legal text. See what "pending counsel review" means.

The seven documents

Veillo generates seven document types. Three apply to the whole organisation; four are generated once per high-risk system.

Which ones you see depends on your register. The four per-system documents only become available once you have a confirmed high-risk system. For why the split exists, see org-wide vs per-system documents.

Editing, versions, and export

A generated document opens in the editor, where you can adjust the wording to match your organisation. Each time you finalise a change, Veillo keeps the version, so you have a history of what said what and when. Export any document to PDF or DOCX from the document screen. If your register changes later, regenerate the document so it reflects reality.

Veillo is compliance tooling, not a law firm. Even counsel-reviewed content is general reference, not legal advice on your specific situation.
