Roles and inviting your team

Veillo has five roles, from full access down to read-only. Pick the one that matches what a person needs to do, and nothing more.

Updated May 2026

The five roles

  • Owner: full access, including billing. There is at least one Owner per workspace.
  • Admin: full access except billing. Can manage systems, documents, and members.
  • Editor: can edit systems and documents, including confirming and reclassifying, but cannot manage members or billing.
  • Reviewer: read-only, and can sign off quarterly reviews. A good fit for someone who oversees the work without changing it.
  • Auditor: read-only access for an external auditor. They can see the record but change nothing.

In short: Owners, Admins, and Editors can change things. Owners, Admins, Editors, and Reviewers can sign off a review. Only an Owner touches billing.

Inviting someone

Go to Settings, add the person by email, and choose their role. They get an invitation to join your workspace. You can change a role or remove someone later from the same place. Your plan sets how many users you can have: a single user on Starter, five on Business, and unlimited on Scale. See plans, billing, and upgrading.

Giving an auditor access

To let an external auditor inspect your compliance record, invite them as an Auditor. They get read-only access to the register, documents, and audit log, and cannot change anything or see billing. When the engagement ends, remove them and the access is gone.

Least access that fits the job
If someone only needs to look, give them Reviewer or Auditor rather than Admin. It keeps your audit trail clean and means fewer people can change a classification by accident.
